June 15, 2009- PRESENT: Participates in the SHAW UNIVERSITY U.S ENVIRONMETAL PROTECTION AGENCY RESEARCH APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM. A collaborative effort between U.S Environmental Agency’s Office of Research and Development in Research Triangle Park, NC and Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. The program encourages participating high school students to pursue advanced degrees in math, science, and engineering.

2007: National Award Winner for the United States Achievement Academy.

2009: Was awarded the Academic Alpha Award. In recognition of outstanding achievement in academics at Wakefield Middle School.

2008: Invited to the People To People Ambassador Programs based on demonstrations of outstanding leadership, academic excellence and citizenship.
