Alyssa Fratarcangeli, a Class of 2013 midfielder from Milford, Conn., has verbally committed to UMass, her family has confirmed to ESPNHS.

Fratarcangeli is a junior at Lauralton Hall (Milford, Conn.), where she just earned All-State honors and a spot on the Connecticut Post All-Star team. She notched 11 goals and nine assists on the season, and has been named captain for her senior season in 2012.

She plays for the ECNL’s Connecticut FC, and has been named to the Region I ODP player pool.

Fratarcangeli becomes the first confirmed commit for the Class of 2013 to University of Massachusetts.
