Carolina defender commits to Crimson Tide

Caroline Alexander, a Class of 2013 defender from Charlotte, N.C., has verbally committed to Alabama, her family has confirmed to ESPNHS.

Alexander plays for Charlotte SA in the ECNL where she has played every year since the under-9 squad. She has twice been selected a regional Olympic Development Program player and three times a North Carolina ODP player.

At Myers Park (Charlotte, N.C.), Alexander earned All-Conference and All-Region honors in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. She enters her junior year this spring as a two-time returning starter.

Alexander becomes the second confirmed commit to Alabama for the Class of 2013, joining Hailey Brohaugh.
